Internships

Comagine Health provides paid internship opportunities for qualified (Master’s preferred) students to gain meaningful experience in health care quality improvement, health data analysis, health policy, or other areas.  Typically, interns perform work in support of projects dedicated to improving health in the community and the quality and effectiveness of health care.

 

Eligibility

Applicants should maintain at least a “B” average and be in the final year of their degree program in one of the following fields:

  • Public Health Care Administration
  • Health Care Administration
  • Health Promotion
  • Nursing
  • Medicine
  • Social Work
  • Health Information Technology
  • Medical Informatics
  • Biostatistics/Epidemiology
  • Communications/Social Media
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Other disciplines (subject to Comagine Health's approval)

Generally, internship opportunities are determined by December 15 (for spring/summer internships) and March 15 (for fall/winter internships).  Additional openings may be posted at any time throughout the year, too.

 

Application Deadlines

In Utah only, the application deadlines are:

  • Spring/summer internships: February 1
  • Fall/winter internships: June 1

Duration

In most cases, internships are from three to six months in duration, and generally are scheduled within a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm work week and for up to 29 hours per week.
